We will complete a bee page for our insect book.On the page, we will write one interesting fact about bees and then draw the life cycle of the bee on the page.I will have a picture of the life cycle on the board for those who are having trouble drawing.
We will put this page in our book that students will be able to take home when we are finished completing our insect book at the end of the unit.
Materials:
Projector with computer
Dry Erase Board
Overhead projector
Overhead projector sheets with SEA chart and KWL charts on them
Bee craft copied for all students
Page for students to draw and write their bee page

Lesson Title: Life Cycle of Bees
Grade: Kindergarten
Objective: Students will discover the life cycle of bees.
Procedure:
- Students will begin by making a KWL chart on the Life Cycle and what they already know about bees in general.
- We will then write down any questions they may have about bees or what they would like to know before viewing the video.
- We will fill watch the video at http://video.google.ca/videoplay?docid=5867193301785656504 and pause throughout to fill out an SEA and the L section of our KWL chart.
- We will make a paper bee.
